The decision of the UPA government to introduce reservations even in portals of higher learning is being violently opposed by the students community especially the medicos. The IITs have also joined hands with them. The anti-Reservations stir is spreading throughout the country. Last time it was V. P. Singh. Now it is Arjun Singh. This old man who can't even walk properly without support has ignited the anti-reservation fire.
Last time many young students had laid down their lives opposing the Mandal Commission report.
It is said that people get the government they deserve. People have voted UPA in. So the people are to be blamed for having brought political opportunists and vote-bank politicians of the stature of Arjun Singh to the portals of power. The misfortune of my country is not that it is ruled by nincompoops and sychophants but that it is inhabited by mindless zombies who have absolutely no sense of self-respect and common sense.
